The event takes place on March 15 and 16, with the first day being reserved for individual competitors – i.e. those who don’t want their pals to slow them down.
The sporting challenge involves 12 gruelling obstacles over a 5km course, and if your team of four make it to the finish line the fastest, you’ll be lining your pockets as well as shrouding yourself in glory.
Entry to the challenge costs Dhs250 and winners and placings will be calculated on the fastest time around the course including any time penalties awarded for failing or skipping obstacles.
First place for individual competitors is a prize of Dhs8,000, second place wins Dhs4,000 and third place wins Dhs2,000. The first team will win Dhs8,000, the second place team will win Dhs6,000 and third place will win Dhs2,000.
The obstacles include the likes of The Siege, Vine Swing, Warped Wall, Balance Beam, Rope Ladders, Black Hole and The Chimney. Make of those what you will.
Competition categories include individual men, individual women, women’s teams and mixed/men’s teams.
The heats begin at 8pm and are every 15 minutes following. During registration you will be given your heat time and you will be required to arrive one hour before this time to check in and limber up, we imagine.
We’ll see you by the Warped Wall. Dhs250. Thu Mar 15 & Fri Mar 16, from 8pm. Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, www.dubaisc.ae.
