Where to watch the Premier League final day in Dubai
The city has plenty of screens to watch the last ten games of the season
The Premier League is coming to a close today, but not without a few final matches to settle the table.
Liverpool and Chelsea are hoping to claim the last of the four Champions League qualification spots, while Manchester City may become the first team in Premier League history to win 100 points if they beat Southampton.
With ten stellar matches kicking off at 3pm BST, aka 6pm in Dubai, here’s a list of some of the best sports bars to sit back and watch the teams duke it out.
Barasti Beach If you’re looking for a massive area and a screen to match it, you can’t go wrong with watching footie at Barasti. In fact, they’ll be setting up a whole dome by the time the World Cup comes around, just to give you a taste of how invested in football they are. Fibber Magee’s Cosy up in one of the city’s best-loved Emerald Isle haunts for some top Irish craic, pub grub, alongside a whole load of very enthusiastic footie fans. Number of screens: Ten. Happy hour: Daily 4pm-7pm. House beverages from Dhs26. Saeed Tower One, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 332 2400).
Kickers This huge bar in Dubai Sports City gets packed out with patrons, especially on match days, so expect a lively atmosphere and a busy bar, plus some weird and wonderful bites to accompany the game. Lock, Stock & Barrel JBR Time Out Dubai’s Bar of the Year 2018 is one of those all-round spots that offers plenty of entertainment, excellent food and great music once the games have finished. That’s three reasons for you to head here to watch the match. Before we’ve even mentioned the brilliant happy hour. Number of screens: 14. Happy hour: Sat-Sun 2pm-8pm, Mon-Fri 4pm-8pm. Long’s Bar The title isn’t just for show, and Long’s bar has the actual longest bar in the region. However, one of its main draws of this casual spot is the great (and lengthy) happy hour deals that run every night of the week. Nell Gwynne A down-to-earth British pub that can get a bit rowdy when a match is gets intense. If you’re in for loud cheers and victory screams, this is the place for you. Nezesaussi Grill With friendly staff, a massive screen placed at the end of the bar and plenty of other screens placed throughout, Nezesaussi Grill is for fans of all things sport. Perry & Blackwelder’s An all-American bar may not seem like the obvious choice to watch the Premier League, but when it comes to game time, it tends to be a surprisingly fun spot once kick-off rolls around. The Huddle If you’re living around Barsha Heights and don’t want to travel too far to watch a few matches, The Huddle’s sporty atmosphere and numerous TV screens make for an ideal place to watch matches with beverage in hand. Qube Sports Bar It may seem like a bit of a trek to get to for some, but this sports bar serves a growing number of residents from surrounding housing developments, which means hefty crowds and a buzzing atmosphere. Brunswick Sports Club This Al Barsha bar from the reliable folk at Bull & Roo has made a big name for itself since opening. It’s one of the trendiest places in the city – sports bar or not – and the bites are far superior to your usual snacks. Number of screens: Seven.
