Located about half an hour’s drive from the centre of Dubai, Club Joumana is known for its extremely friendly staff and unbroken peace and quiet. Miles from the bustle of the city centre, here you might choose to stretch out and doze on the club’s lush lawns or indulge in a variety of water sports available from the private beach.

Activities include water-skiing, windsurfing, banana boating and sailing (catamaran and laser), while boat and fishing trips can also be organised. Back on dry land, Club Joumana boasts four floodlit tennis courts, a glass-backed squash court and a badminton court. There are also two fresh water pools, a sea water pool and a children’s pool.

Nearby is a par-36 nine-hole golf course and practice facilities. Make sure you get there when they open at the weekend, as sometimes they have to turn people away from 10am.
