Summer is just around the corner, so what better time is there to get away before the heat kicks in?
The JA Hatta Fort Hotel has recently undergone a massive refurbishment and renovation project, and now boasts a spectacular array of facilities and suites in which guests can revel during weekend getaway.
The resort is based up in the picturesque mountain landscape of Hajar, less than a two hour drive from Dubai, and coincides with an extensive redevelopment of the Hatta area following a Dhs1.3 billion project aiming to make the area more eco-friendly and more desirable for tourists.
As such, the JA Hatta Fort Hotel has been redesigned to reflect the hotel’s Arabian roots and charm. All 48 of the resort’s deluxe chalet-style rooms, as well as two additional suites and villas, have been completely refurbished. Visitors will now find climate-controlled showers in each bathroom, alongside sun-terraces and balconies as each room has been redesigned to complement traditional fretwork with modern furniture and relaxing colour schemes.
Outside, the 80-acre garden space offers a huge array of leisure and entertainment activities. From swimming to archery, mini golf and tennis, there’s something for everyone. If you’re in a bit more of a relaxed mood, take advantage of the hotel’s swimming pools, spa area or gymnasium; while families can enjoy strolling around the mini zoo, featuring goats, ducks and camel rides – perfect for the little ones.
In the surrounding area, guests can explore the historic region. Head out in a 4x4 or quad bike, or mosey on down to the Hatta Dam and hop into a boat or kayak, or go and visit the Heritage Village – a reconstructed town made to represent a traditional mountain village, reminiscent of the UAE 50 years ago.
Whatever your reason for wanting to get out of the city, you’re sure to find the perfect trip here.
