Emirates reveals dedicated Year of Zayed fleet

Emirates has unveiled a fleet of specially designed aircrafts to commemorate the 2018 Year of Zayed.

The airline has dedicated its 100th A380 aircraft livery design as a special tribute to the 100th birthday of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founding father of the UAE.

Featuring one of the most-identifiable images of HH Sheikh Zayed, the special tribute will appear on ten aircraft in the Emirates fleet, including five A380s and five 777-300ERs – two of the most commonly flown planes in the Emirates fleet.

“His Highness Sheikh Zayed dedicated his life to the building of a prosperous UAE, and we are proud to celebrate his remarkable legacy and honour his memory,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group. “Sheikh Zayed left an indelible mark on our home, the UAE, and we hope to help preserve his legacy and spirit, by spreading his message of inspiration, dedication, and leadership around the world as our aircraft take to the skies and circle the globe.”

It’s the first time Emirates has dedicated the design of its fleet to a public figure, and will carry the decoration from this November and throughout 2018.
