Want to take part in Dubai Color Run this year? Well get prepared to sign up because tickets go on sale tomorrow.

The event by Daman’s ActiveLife is back in November and from Thursday you can get online to grab your ‘early bird’ summer package.

Once that’s all taken care of get excited about getting covered in glitter, confetti and the general multi-coloured madness at the Dubai Autodrome for the 5km jog.

Held in partnership with The Shine Tour, only a limited number of entries can be made on June 4.

Thousands of participants are expected to cross the finish line after being “showered in vibrant coloured powder”.

They will have to dash across the course’s five colour stations before the end of the race though and this year’s revamped Finish Festival will also pump fluorescent colour and glitter into crowd on November 21.

The Color Run first came to the city in 2013 and more than 12,000 Color Runners ranging from ages one to 91 took part last year.

Dr. Michael Bitzer, Chief Executive Officer at Daman, presenting partner of the event, said: “The Color Run presented by Daman’s ActiveLife has proven to be a fantastic way to excite people about getting fit and active, and we are already beginning to see the results across the UAE with more people signing up each year.

“Most importantly, it is a great way of introducing families to a healthier lifestyle by exposing them to an active experience which they associate with fitness and fun. Hopefully they will remember it for many years to come.”

Get involved by visiting www.thecolorrun.ae. Early bird entries cost Dhs140 and include a Gift Pack, newly designed event T-shirt, sweatband and colour pack. Friends of Cancer Patients charity will get $1 from every registration via the Just Giving platform.
