F45 training in Dubai Marina

Australian import F45 brings a high energy workout to wake you up

Active life

You can’t feasibly get much done in 45 minutes. Watch a couple of episodes of an awful soap, catch one half of the big match, twiddle your thumbs while you wait for that calorific takeaway you’ve just ordered to arrive.

But if you fancy doing something a little more productive, and health-conscious, give F45 a whirl. This intensive workout formula has taken Australia by storm and has now winged its way to Dubai.

Billed as the “45-minute workout that will change your life”, it combines three distinct fitness session styles into one group training session, with elements of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training and functional training.

So what, we hear you ask, will we get in return for this 45 minutes of full-on exertion? Well, a burn of upwards of 750 calories, that’s what.

We take a look at what F45 Training Dubai Marina, located at Trident Grand Residence, and we’re itching to try one of the array of classes. We’re most intrigued by the Hollywood (aka the Friday night special), which involves 54 high-intensity stations designed to challenge strength, core stability and cardiovascular endurance.

As a sign of goodwill to the lovely folks of Dubai, F45 is offering a free, two-week trial. Travis Krug, who co-owns the brand with KC Finnegan, tells Time Out: “F45 Training is the perfect workout for a city as innovative as Dubai. Every workout is new each day and incorporates team training and palpable high energy.”

And if you decide it’s for you, and like some healthy competition, you can take on global members in an eight-week challenge. Take the plunge and try something new.
