Kids can have fun while parents chill out at this special slime party

Have a slime party in the Dubai desert

Trying to stop little ones from playing with slime? It’s a slippery slope. What you can do, however, is join in on all the fun action – and right here in the desert.

Kiddies can head to Meliã Desert Palm’s Epicure Lounge on Saturday January 12 for a weekend slime party, where they’ll squeeze, stretch and poke at the ever-trending DIY toy.

If you’re worried about toxins, rest assured, kids will only be given safe slime to play with at the supervised party.

What’s more, they’ll get to order from a kids’ menu which includes finger and hot food, desserts and fresh juices. From cheese and tomato sandwiches and popcorn to assorted mini chocolate cakes and jelly beans, even the pickiest of eaters will find their treat.

Since you won’t need to keep an eye on them all the time, Mum and Dad can spend their time waiting for the kids by the pool, where chefs will fire up the grills for a barbecue at Dhs245 per person from 12.30pm to 4pm.

Parents can also sign up for the Fitness Boot Camp taking place on Sunday January 20 at the Dubai polo resort and work out on the hotel’s lush fields.

An oasis of slime? It’s a whole new experience.
Dhs100 (slime, food and drinks). Jan 12, 12.30-2.30pm. Meliã Desert Palm, Al Awir Road (04 602 9303).
