Families will join kids’ favourite dinosaur for breakfast and play

Have a picnic with Barney at City Walk

City Walk’s edutainment attraction Mattel Play! Town will be hosting families for a picnic with Barney the purple dinosaur and his friends on Fridays.

Kids timeoutdubai.com/kids and their parents can relax at Barney’s house, and even have breakfast with him and his friends from 9am until 11am.

Little ones will tuck into a picnic spread in the company of Barney, BJ and Baby Pop as the 200-million-year-old T-Rex teaches them all about positive values and good manners.

Barney will also play some music with kids on his magical piano, after which they will go watch the fish at the Koi Pond and jump around the themed playground. The picnic also features many activities including face painting, meet and greets, as well as photo opportunities.

Characters will also perform in a musical parade, where they’ll be busting their best moves for kids and kids-at-heart.

The indoor, interactive eduplay attraction also has a Drop n’ Go service. If you’re after a bit of retail therapy, a bit of a meander or just a few hours of peace and quiet, drop the kids off and the world is your oyster again.

Tickets to Picnic with Barney include a full day pass to Mattel Play! Town where kids can also go on an adventure with Thomas & Friends, become heroes with Fireman Sam, build their dream home with Bob the Builder and dance their little hearts out with Angelina Ballerina.
Dhs99 (adults), Dhs149 (kids), Dhs399 (family of four), free (kids under 12). Every first Fri of the month, from Apr 5, 9am-11am. Al Safa, playtowndubai.com.
