Looking for some beach fun, but want to stay out of the sun?

As part of the 22nd edition of Dubai Summer Surprises, Bur Dubai mall, BurJuman, has transformed into a holiday-themed extravaganza.

Running daily until Saturday August 17, between 2pm and 10pm, the beach-inspired set-up promises exciting and engaging activities for both kids and adults.

Little ones can swim across a sea of adventure, before making it to a magical tree house – all with the help of a little virtual reality.

There’s also an arts and crafts section with workshops such as rock painting, bead crafts, knitting, jewellery making and flower pot designing, and on the weekends budding musicians can take part in drumming workshops.

While you’re there, get some shopping in. Until Saturday August 3, if you spend Dhs200 you can enter a raffle and stand the chance to win a luxury car. The mall is home to some top shops including new additions like adidas, Aldo, H&M, Mothercare, Next and Sharaf DG.

As well as mega deals and discounts, there’s plenty of fun things happening around the city for little ones and families. Dubai Marina Mall has transformed into an indoor beach party, there’s a Kids Rock Festival at Dubai Festival City Mall and Modhesh World is offering up a jam-packed scheduled of fun activities for all.
Daily 2pm-10pm. Ongoing until Aug 17. Bur Dubai, www.burjuman.com (04 352 0222).
