Be a zookeeper at The Green Planet

Kids can learn about and look after some of the inhabitants at the indoor biodome

Be a zookeeper at The Green Planet

Children are being invited to unleash their inner David Attenborough at The Green Planet.

More than 3,000 exotic animals and plants are housed at the indoor four-storey tropical rainforest where budding biologists can get up close and personal with some of the resident creepy crawlies as well as some of the ecosystem's cuter, more furry wildlife.

Kids can visit the on-site laboratories to discover more about the various species living in the biodome, while being able to get their hands dirty carrying out daily tasks like mucking out, transitioning animals into the biodome and feeding the residents - some of whom need to have special meals prepared to meet very specific dietary requirements.

They can also learn about the challenges the animals face in the wild and what The Green Planet is doing to support them.

Open to children between the ages of nine and 16 years and priced at Dhs950 the opportunity will take place every Saturday, kicking off on October 5.

Time to get back to nature.
Dhs950. Every Sat from Oct 5, 8.30am-12pm. Dubai City Walk, Al Safa Street, (04 317 3999).
