THE BURJ DUBAI METRO STATION IN DUBAI IS NOT OPEN YET. KEEP CHECKING TIME OUT DUBAI FOR MORE DETAILS.

Feeder buses run to and from The Dubai Mall (F13), Al Wasl, Business Bay and Jumeirah 2 (F16)

1 The Dubai Mall: If there’s anything Dubai does best, it’s shopping malls – and the latest addition holds a strong case for deserving its definitive moniker. With more than 1,200 shops and attractions, visitors can easily spend a whole day here, skipping between ice skating, munching from one of more-than 150 food outlets and checking out the sharks in the aquarium.

2 The Dubai Fountain: Shooting out from the 30-acre Burj Dubai Lake, The Dubai Fountain is an impressive sight. Onlookers are entertained with more than 1,000 different water ‘expressions’. Plus, once the Burj Dubai is open in December, you’ll be able to view all this from the observation deck of the tallest building in the world. Although, from 442m up the fountain will look positively piddly.

3 The Address Hotel: The Address is a sophisticated hotel with numerous restaurants and a few bars with unbeatable views of The Dubai Fountain and Burj Dubai, such as the sophisticated Neos. For some upper-class pampering, check yourself in at The Spa.

4 Souk Al Bahar: Downtown Burj Dubai’s answer to Souk Madinat Jumeirah is gaining a good reputation for its excellent restaurants, such as Mango Tree and Rivington Grill, and lively bars, particularly the new branch of Left Bank. The collection of shops remains quiet, but they do offer a more peaceful retail experience than the neighbouring Dubai Mall.

5 The Palace, The Old Town: Situated on the edge of the Burj Dubai Lake, The Palace is an impressive and sprawling hotel, with canals lining the Arabian courtyards and majlis dotted around the pool where you can lazily puff on sisha. Visit one of the many sumptious retaurants and bars here for a romantic evening.
