Your parents

9am
Head to the Dubai Museum to show your ’rents Dubai’s history. Then take them on an abra ride for creek views

12pm
Get them ready for the 1pm sitting of the Burj Al Arab high tea

3pm
They will want a snooze post-lunch. After that take them up the Burj Khalifa at around 5pm and see the sky turn from day to night

7pm
Take them to see the Dubai Fountain dance – and then head to a Souk Al Bahar eatery for dinner

Your best mate

9am
Take them to the mammoth indoor Blue Souk in Sharjah for a shopping extravaganza and an authentic experience

12pm
Once you’re home from Sharjah zip to Amara Spa for a massage and a lounge by the pool, or to Sunset Beach for sunbathing time and a free kayak if they’re more adventurous

3pm
Trust us, you will still be by the pool at Amara Spa (or chilling on the beach)

7pm
They’re your best friend so treat them to a dinner at La Petite Maison before heading to Jetty Lounge for drinks or QDs for drinks and shisha

Your acquaintance

9am
Put them on the metro to visit The Dubai Mall as they can spend hours there

12pm
Encourage them to then grab a metro/cab combo to explore the trendy art galleries of Al Serkal Ave

3pm
Tell them to head off on the metro again to explore bustling 27th street in Deira from around 4pm

7pm
Pick them up and take them for an Arabic dining experience at Khan Murjan before showing them the crazy and electric ‘car-proud’ culture of Diyafah Street at night

Your crazy friend

9am
Get up early and wake up quickly by jumping out of an airplane

12pm
Take them to Al Qasr for the ultimate experience in decadent dining

3pm
You’ll still be at Al Qasr getting your party started.

7pm
Adventurous people love street food so regroup post-brunch with a curry at Ravi’s before Nasimi for a dance-off
