Dubai Marina - renters' guide

What to expect, where to look and how much you should pay

With buildings erected by scores of different developers, the standard of properties in this part of New Dubai varies enormously from residence to residence, so it’s worth doing your research before moving in. At the higher end of the scale are buildings such as The Torch (for those who fancy a pad on the 75th floor), while Emaar developments such as Marina Promenade are popular mid-range choices, and developments such as Marina Diamond residences offer more affordable Marina living. A mall, seemingly endless stretches of casual eateries and good access to the beach are the area’s main selling points, while traffic and constant construction are its big drawbacks.
