What’s new at Dubai's Global Village?

Dubai's Global Village reopens November 3 and will be filled with residents and visitors for the next six months

Global Village returns in its 20th season this Tuesday November 3 and will be open until April 9.

Guests will be able to enjoy exciting new shows and artists when the experience returns in Dubai and will feature infrastructure enhancements as well as new facilities and pavilions.

Fresh countries represented are Russia and Japan, and guests will be welcomed through the new ‘Gate of the World’, the largest gate in Global Village’s history which has 40 turnstiles and 40 ticketing kiosks.

Groups can enjoy the extended grass area for picnicking as well as an enhanced audio and visual system so “no matter where you are standing, you will feel as if you are in the front row”.

New rides include Crazy Golf (Children’s Ride); Cape fear Ghost Train (Family Ride) and Loop fighter (Thrill Ride), plus 20 restaurants and 100 themed food and drink kiosk allow guests to sample flavours from all over the world.

Pavillions taking part are Afghanistan; Africa; Americas; Bahrain; Cambodia; China; Egypt; Germany, UK, France; Tunisia; India; Iraq; Italy; Jordan; Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Kuwait; Lebanon; Malaysia; Morocco; Pakistan; Philippines; Qatar; Spain; Singapore; Syria; Thailand; Turkey; UAE; Vietnam, and Yemen.

They shared on their Twitter page during a press conference on Sunday that vehicles with a capacity of 60 people are being provided to get visitors from their cars to the site, quickly and with ease.

“Newly added trains working around the clock to transport guests from parking areas to the new ‘Gate of The World’ for free,” @GlobalVillageAE posted.

“GlobalVillage will have a wide array of spectacular entertainment offerings and concerts, all part of the Dhs15 entry fee.”

This year, they are to again offer limited edition VIP packs.

Each pack provides up to 65 percent savings when compared to the value of its content.

“The VIP packs are a great reward for our loyal customers who keep on returning year after year, as well as being a great gift for friends or family members,” Ahmad AlMarri, Director of Operations at Global Village said. “As we continue the preparations for a memorable 20th season, the packs provide our customers with an added bit of luxury and comfort with fantastic privileges and benefits across the season.”

The Global Village VIP packs come in three different categories in addition to the highly sought after Pack Number One.

Two car passes with two reserved parking spaces on site; 200 VIP entry tickets that provide fast access to its holder through a dedicated VIP gate at Global Village entrances; 30 VIP valet parking tickets; Fantasy Island cards valued at DHS1,000, in addition to 20 Global Village commemorative Dirham coins.
