Jetman Dubai's protege carries out extreme marriage proposal

Did Jetman Dubai's protege just carry out the best marriage proposal ever?

We’re used to seeing the UAE flag or his sponsor X Dubai emblazoned across his gear, but Jetman’s protégé gave his partner quite possibly the best surprise of her life when she took to the sky with him this weekend.

Agnes Rodriguez accepted a marriage proposal from the skydiver in no better place for a Dubai icon.

In pictures posted on Instagram, Jetman’s official account details how he got his new fiancée to say “yes”.

Posted alongside a snap of the man in action, a caption reads: “‘Agnes, will you marry me?’ We feel incredibly happy for our pilot @VinceReffet who just proposed to his lovely girlfriend @Agnesm23 during an incredible #Jetman flight! :D André Bernet.”

A second image shows Agnes beaming with happiness from the helicopter overlooking the flight where the proposal was written on the back of his wings.

“Agnes was aboard the #Jetman helicopter when she was beautifully surprised to read 'Will you marry me?' on the #jetwing piloted by her boyfriend @VinceReffet,” adds the account followed by 117,000 people. “She said yes... Congratulations to both of them from the whole #JetmanDubai team! Max Haim #LoveIsInTheAir.”

Real name Vince Reffet, Jetman’s protege has carried out numerous impressive stunts with Jetman, real name Yves Rossy.

In May this year, a fascinating new video of Rossy flying alongside Reffet, showed the pair in a dazzling sky-high display all across Dubai at speeds in excess of 200kph. The pair, wearing 'wings' that weigh in at 55kg and span two metres across the pilot’s back, move in perfect unison, twisting and turning with total freedom of movement.

Then in November they were captured on video racing an Emirates Airline across the skies. A short clip released on Sheikh Hamdan's Instagram feed, shows both Rossy and Reffet in tandem alongside the giant A380 airline.
