AYKON Dare skywalk announced for Dubai skyscraper

Time Out has news of a new extreme sport activity as AYKON Dare skywalk announced for Dubai skyscraper in AYKON City, by Dubai Water Canal

Those of you not particularly faint of heart will absolutely love the latest awesome attraction coming to Dubai.

Not content with the three theme parks coming to region, or XLine over Dubai Fountain, and even the world's longest zipline set to launch in Ras Al Khaimah, it has now been revealed that a stomach-turning high-wire adventure will form part of the AYKON City development on Dubai Water Canal.

Located in the Golden Quadrant, the awesome new mini-city will, as well as residence, hotels and a number of dining and entertainment options, be the home of AKYON Dare.

The stunt, which will take place 80 floors up (that's 285m), is described on the official website as a 'magnificent al fresco experience for the adventurous that offers an entirely new perspective on the city and a breathtaking adrenaline rush'.

Much like the record-breaking CN Tower's Edge Walk (356m), those brave enough to take on the astonishing trip will be wired to the roof and be allowed to walk around the perimeter.

The whole Aykon City development features six towers; 80-storey Aykon Hotel and Residences, 63-storey Damac Maison Serviced Hotel Residences, 60-storey unnamed apartment tower, 65-storey unnamed office tower and two 30-floor ultra-luxury residential towers, as yet unnamed.

Check out a 360 video of it below.
