Inside One: Dubai's most expensive apartment building

Time Out takes you inside One, Dubai's most expensive apartment building, in Palm Jumeirah, with pictures and information on all its cool features

You know an apartment block is pretty special when the units are sold on an invitation basis only.

Appropriately named One, given its positioning at the base of the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, construction on this one-of-a-kind development by Omniyat is firmly underway, and judging by the renderings above, it is going to be quite spectacular.

The lucky few who get to own one of these amazing homes can expect to get a lot of bang for their buck.

After all, these swanky pads will cost an average of Dhs12million ($3.26million), with the best unit having a Dhs181million price tag attached to it.

There’s panoramic views, a private beach, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a cinema, a cigar lounge, a luxury spa, a pier, watersport facilities, pretty much everything you'd expect from the real high-flyer lifestyle.

The units will feature a combination of solid wood and stone flooring, marble and wood cladded walls, floor to floor glazing, show kitchens and double-height living spaces with Juliet balconies to all bedrooms.

According to reports, the 25-storey tower, comprising 90 apartments, is scheduled for completion by 2017.

There's no doubt about it: One is going to become a new Dubai landmark and quite possibly home to footballers, rock stars and royalty.
