Dubai Police adds FJ Cruiser cars to its fleet

Time Out has pictures and video as it is announced that Dubai Police adds FJ Cruiser cars to its fleet

The list of super rides in Dubai Police’s fleet just keeps getting longer!

The latest addition to the team is the Toyota FJ Cruiser, an off-roading giant that says ‘don’t mess with us’ just as much as the force’s other acquisitions.

First put into production in 2006 as a modern incarnation of the fabulous FJ40 Land Cruiser, it has consistently challenged the Hummer as the all-terrain master.

The vehicles were provided by Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, and a renowned car dealer that has worked with Dubai police before.

As the photos and videos below show, the bodywork of the FJCruisers has been customised in the green and white colours of Dubai Police vehicles.

Joining the likes of Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Audi A8, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77, Lamborghini Aventador and Nissan GT-R, the FJ Cruiser will add an extra dollop of class to a police force already renowned for being the most luxuriously equipped in the world.

They’re also building up a reputation as being ultramodern and forward-thinking, with plans to incorporate robot police patrolling the streets of Dubai by 2020.

We’re not sure what Dubai Police have in store next but we’d put money on it being ground-breaking and futuristic.
