You just knew it had to happen, didn't you? Dubai is now home to the world's tallest LEGO structure, the Burj Khalifa.
Saving one of their most exciting announcements to last, LEGOLAND Dubai, which opens at Dubai Parks And Resorts at the end of October, have revealed MINILAND will be home to a 17-metre tall replica of the iconic landmark.
The finishing touches are currently being applied to the park, the only signature entertainment element of the giant theme park world being constructed in Jebel Ali to hit deadline, with guests due through the doors on October 31.
As well as the towering structure itself, the LEGO Burj Khalifa will also feature a creative LED light show, as well as a recreation of the real building’s world famous fountain show.
Made using almost 450,000 bricks and weighing one tonne, it has taken a staggering 5,000 work hours to put the record-breaking creation together.
Unveiling the Burj Khalifa is the most significant announcement since a to-scale Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was unleashed on the public in early September.
LEGOLAND Dubai will be the world’s seventh, following a similar path to the previous six, essentially creating a space that allows children to earn a driving license, swim with sharks, fight fires and generally enjoy a park dedicated solely to them.
In total, it will feature over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions and 15,000 LEGO model structures made from over 60 million bricks.
Tickets are available now from www.legoland.ae starting from Dhs250.
