High-speed unlimited WiFi at Dubai airports is now available

Time Out reports on how high-speed unlimited WiFi at Dubai airports is now available, including internet information for DXB and Al Maktoum International

Having a good WiFi connection at the airport really makes travelling a lot easier and more enjoyable.

Whether it’s to keep your friends and family updated on your trip or to simply pass the time and check your emails while waiting to board, being online is convenient and at times very necessary.

That’s why the announcement that all Dubai airports will now have unlimited, high-speed WiFi is such great news for visitors and residents alike.

The system is apparently a lot simpler than previously – thanks to a one-click landing page system which will involve less toing and froing and data input.

And whereas before you’d only have an hour to surf the net, you can now stay online without having to pay for some of the bundles available on the cloud.

Overall, the city’s airport authority has added 6,000 new Wi-Fi access points to upgrade the entire wireless network infrastructure across both DXB and Al Maktoum, which basically means the likelihood of not having a fast connection has been drastically reduced.

And in case you’re wondering just how fast, well it’s up to 5Gbps now, enough to keep a small city connected.

That pretty much makes Dubai the city with the best airport WiFi in the world, which makes sense for one of the busiest airports in the world.

"Dubai Airports has invested heavily in developing a state of the art infrastructure to deliver industry leading Wi-Fi capability. said Michael Ibbitson, Executive Vice President of Business Technology at Dubai Airports.

“It is just one of many initiatives we have undertaken to serve and delight the 83 million passengers that will pass through our airports this year."
