Prepare to have your breath taken away!
Festival City will soon house a first-of-its-kind attraction in Dubai – a multimedia show that will mix elements such as light, water and fire to dramatic effect.
Set to open this December, the immersive spectacle will rival popular waterfront shows in Vegas and Singapore, and quite probably give Dubai Fountains a run for its money.
Still wondering what this multisensory display is all about and how it works? Well, organizers will use cutting-edge, multimedia technology to produce some of the world’s largest permanent 3D projections, five times bigger than the world’s largest IMAX screen.
There will also be giant aqua screens, 30 fountains and state-of-the-art surround sound.
“We have specifically designed this spectacular show to be seen and enjoyed from all angles and viewpoints including our restaurants, the Intercontinental Hotel and the whole area of water of Festival Bay,” Steven Cleaver, Director of Shopping Centres at Al-Futtaim said.
“We have worked closely with our partner Laservision, to develop a cutting-edge multimedia show that will tell a magical 360-degree story across the water at Festival Bay.
The new attraction is part of a massive Dhs 1.5 billion redevelopment project by Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate to revive Festival City, which already has Novo Cinemas with new IMAX screens, waterfront dining on Festival Bay and massive concert hall Festival Arena.
