Dubai landmarks celebrate Christmas with Instagram

Time Out celebrates Christmas in Dubai by dressing up landmarks like Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Palm using Instagram stories tools

Christmas in Dubai is a very special deal. It’s warm, balmy and Santa probably delivers presents in shorts around this part of the world.

As the festive cheer makes its way around town, with only a few more sleeps to go, we bring winter wonderland to some of the city’s most iconic spots using Instagram’s latest tools.

Be it gingerbread men sunbaking on Atlantis The Palm’s beach, or a chilly Burj Al Arab wearing a reindeer jumper, with the latest update on Instagram Stories, Christmas in Dubai has become even more festive than before. Well, in our version, anyway.

Available on its 10.3 version (update via the App Store and Play Store now), this creative new update has a tool that lets you add contextual stickers that display time, weather and locations.

The app currently features special limited edition holiday stickers and a special candy cane brush to overwhelm your Stories with festivity, and you no longer have to compromise with how many emojis you add.

There is now also an option to save the entire masterpiece you create, as opposed to single photos and videos.

Update your apps, and if you spot Burj Khalifa wearing Santa’s hat, remember to tag us on @TimeOutDubai on Instagram.
