Get ready for a culinary adventure of all things pink, as Pink Bite returns for its seventh year on Tuesday March 14, in aid of breast cancer awareness.
Hosted at Galeries Lafayette in The Dubai Mall, Pink Bite will see seven of Dubai’s top chefs battle it out to raise as much cash as possible for Pink Caravan and its breast cancer awareness campaign. Last year, the charity auction raised a whopping Dhs51,000 alone for a pink shawarma, and this year promises to see more of the same culinary creativity.
The Pink Bite has been known for its inventiveness over the past few years, and on top of last year’s pink shawarma, 2015’s event set a record of its own for the most expensive burger – Dhs25,960 – all in the name of charity.
Expect to find a who’s who of gastronomic mastery, including chef Mohamed Orfali from Fatafeat, chef Rief Othman of PLAY (crowned Restaurant of the Year at last month’s Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards), as well as chef Colin Clauge from RUYA (winner of Best Newcomer – Fine Dining).
“The response by the public has been overwhelming,” said Russell Impiazzi, Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet’s culinary director, who will be hosting the event. “It’s great to see once again chefs coming together supporting this fantastic cause. Hopefully, we will see the participation of many more people who will help us surpass the funds we raised last year.”
The Pink Bite is taking place at Galeries Lafayette Dubai Mall on Tuesday March 14 from 7pm to 9pm. Get your wallets out, give generously and get your hands on something pink for dinner.
