Sensory spectacular IMAGINE returns in May

Record-breaking light, water and fire show comes back to Festival City

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a kid again? Well, the folks over at Festival City are putting together a sensory experience that aims to project a child’s dream into the real world.

Imagine is the entertainment attraction that pairs together light, water, fire, giant aqua screens, 30 fountains and surround sound to tell its story. Back in December, the show opened with a record-breaking performance, and is coming back from Thursday May 4 with A Child’s Dream, which it says will take customers on a journey through the vibrant imagination of a young child. The show will feature projections and representations of aeroplanes, magical whales, mystical treehouses and even giant dancing robots.

The show broke the record for light projection onto the world’s largest water screen, and is seeking to break another record this time around, for the largest permanent projection mapping in the world. We’re curious to know what that entails.

There’s also a free event on Thursday May 4 to launch the show, featuring an evening of fireworks and the first live performance in the UAE by Lynn Al Hayak, winner of The Voice Arabia 2016.

The little ones can even see their own creations projected up on to the side of the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, which overlooks the main arena. Head over to the Dream Station between Thursday May 4 and May 18.
Free. 4pm onwards, Thu May 4. Dubai Festival City.
