Where to celebrate Italian National Day

20% off for Italians dining at Segreto Madinat Jumeirah

It’s Festa Della Repubblica this week, which commemorates the post-Second World War referendum to decide the formation of the next Italian government.

Every year, Republic Day takes place on June 2, and you can celebrate at hidden Italian eatery Segreto down in Madinat Jumeirah.

Italians get 20 percent off everything and there’s a specially curated menu available all week, featuring burrata assumicata (smoked burrata cheese with fresh broccolini and crisp red onion), gnocchetti tossed in spinach cream and red prawns, plus bacalla con pisellini e datterino tomato confittato (buttery, poached cod with green peas and datterino tomatoes).

To round off the meal, enjoy Italian buffalo ricotta cheese desserts, topped with pistachio and fresh raspberry.

That’s a fairly strong reason to celebrate Festa Della Repubblica this week!
Jun 1-6. Segreto, Madinat Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, restaurant@jumeirah.com (04 432 3232).
