Bag a free slice of pie on Tuesday July 4 by heading to Clinton St. Baking Company, which is celebrating its New York roots. By ordering any main meal from the menu, get a free slice of pie, while kids eat free. Classic American dishes on offer all day include short ribs, burgers and fried chicken with waffles, while a new homemade lemonade dish is being unveiled as is the apple pie waffle, a new dish being released on Tuesday.

JB’s Gastropub

JB’s Gastropub in JBR is celebrating Independence Day with an all-American barbecue feast. From chicken and brisket to ribs, fill your plate with treats straight from the smoker. Round it off with a side of Southern buttered toast, potatoes and other classic American sides, and a range of bucket beverage deals.

McGettigan’s JLT

Put your knowledge of the USA to the test at McGettigan’s JLT’s American-themed quiz night on Tuesday July 4. Ace the test (covering American history, culture, movies and music), and be in with a chance of winning lunches, brunches and a range of Dubai experiences. Even if you’re not taking part in the quiz, get a bucket of hops for Dhs160 on the night, accompanied by an American-inspired menu including nachos, mac and cheese, burgers, fries, sandwiches and more.

Perry & Blackwelder’s

Check out a weekend-long, good ole fashioned American house party for the weekend of Friday July 7 and Saturday 8. Since American Independence Day falls in the middle of the week, the classic American smokehouse is pushing celebrations back to the weekend, to make sure everyone gets a piece of the action.

Throughout the weekend there will be live music and DJs from noon until 1am, while P&B’s chef will be cooking up a range of American classics, including apple pie, smoked meats, burgers and hot dogs, pizzas and side dishes coated in cheese. There will even be red, white and blue slushies to get into the patriotic vibe.

The whole bar will be kitted out in American party décor, plus competitions and prizes running all weekend long, so there are plenty of reasons to celebrate the US of A.

Get transported to the American South at Zoco, which is having a complete Independence Day makeover, a DJ spinning country tracks and old school, and gourmet Tex-Mex dishes like soft shell tacos filled with bone marrow with braised beef jam, radish and coriander, plus churros doughnuts. There’ll be all-American props to take selfies with, too.
