Two lion cubs have been born at Dubai Safari

Children can name the pair and win an exclusive tour of the park before it opens

Dubai Safari has announced the birth of two white lion cubs, and it wants help naming the pair.

The park is due to open by the end of the year, as reported in July, and on top of the three main village areas to explore, and the estimated 10,500 animals it is due to house, there are two more reasons to visit the park when it opens.

“Please join us in welcome two new white lion cubs, that were born at Dubai Safari recently,” Dubai Media Office said. “We invite children of all ages to suggest names for both cubs (one female and one male).”

Children are invited to suggest names by leaving comments on its social media pages (including the above tweet), and the winning child will win an exclusive tour of Dubai Safari Park, before it has officially opened, and be among the first the see the whole park. Parents, the tour is for two, so get thinking.

The park is due to open “within months”, according to state news agency WAM. We can’t wait to see the park site in Al Warqa, and hope for a sight of these two beauties.

While you’re here, check out our first look inside the park, so far it looks brilliant, and we can’t wait to go back.
