Deliveroo launches in Dubai Airport

Food delivery service launched at DXB Terminal 3

Food delivery firm Deliveroo and Dubai Airports have launched the region’s first-ever airport delivery service at Dubai International (DXB).

Currently available at Terminal 3 A-Gates, the service, named DeliverooDXB, allows passengers to get freshly prepared food delivered straight to their boarding gates within minutes of ordering. Passengers only need to place an order on Deliveroo’s app, website or via the quick link on DXB’s high-speed free wi-fi service “Wow-Fi”.

More than ten outlets are currently participating in the service, including Giraffe, Picnic, Paul Bakery & Restaurant, Carluccio’s, Le Pain Quotidien, McDonald’s, Costa and Pulp Juice.

After six months, Dubai Airports will look to rolling out the service across additional outlets and concourses at DXB, while Deliveroo will look to bring the service to other international hubs around the world.

The launch of DeliverooDXB is the latest in a series of new measures to improve Dubai International’s passenger experience, which include free movies with ICFLIX, art initiative artDXB, early bird discounts of up to 25 percent, the first jones the grocer in an airport and a new sleep lounge, with many more projects said to be in the pipeline.

The break will last from Monday August 20 until Wednesday August 22

Eid is expected to fall on Tuesday August 21 and run until Friday August 24
