Brand-new UAE radio station Heart 107.1 arrives

The UAE has just got itself a brand-new radio station, and it’s promising old school beats, pop classics and modern day anthems to see you through the week.

Head to Heart 107.1 for massive wall-to-wall tunes, with hits from the ’80s, ’90s, ’00s and today already pumping out across the air waves. Since tuning in this morning we’ve already been treated to Craig David, TLC (remember No Scrubs?), Ashanti, Rag’n’Bone Man and Sam Smith, so the station is already living up to its promises.

Every day you’ll hear four brilliant shows from morning through to drive-time slots, with hosts including two-time Radio Personality of the Year Dave Cleary, hosting the drive home show Drive with Dave between 4pm and 8pm having moved over from Dance FM.

Joining Cleary is Fadi Mansour, one of the most recognised voices in the UAE, who takes to the air waves every afternoon between 1pm and 4pm with big tunes and a bunch of fast-paced features and games.

Flagship show Breakfast with Tim and Faris promises to provide the ultimate fast-paced, witty and sarcastic start to your day. With the pacey wit, energy and humour of British Jordanian Faris Al-Raqqad coming up against the straight-talk of American Tim Hartmen, it’s sure to be a top listen getting you out of bed and on the road in the morning.

“To say we’re pretty excited that this day has finally come is an understatement!” said Theo Makris, co-founder and managing director of Shock Middle East, Heart 107.1’s management company. “Heart 107.1 has been a long time coming – and we know it’s just what the UAE needs. Get ready to listen to some excellent music, the best of the best radio presenters – and a radio station which will always make you feel good.”

It’s early days for this new radio station, and we can’t wait to find out what it’s got in store for us as it gets going.
