Plans for huge new Dubai Marina island revealed

Emaar Beachfront promises 1.5km beach, luxury residences and more

Around Town

A brand-new, huge private gated island has been revealed – featuring food and beverage outlets, leisure and entertainment destinations and a twin-tower residential complex.

The complex, named Emaar Beachfront and managed by the operator of At The Top at the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame, will be located in the Arabian Gulf between JBR and Palm Jumeirah, and promises “the opportunity to experience Miami Beach-style living in Dubai”.

But what exactly does that mean?

Well, most notable will be the 1.5km-long beach running the span of the island, to which residents will be promised free access, as well as spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf, the Palm, Dubai Marina, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and the city’s towering skyline.

The main residential complex is Beach Vista, a twin-tower development of 33-storeys and 26-storeys featuring huge floor-to-ceiling windows, tonnes of natural light, large balconies overlooking the sea and many of the luxury touches you’d expect, including swimming pools, gyms and even in-building premium retail options.

A promenade will run along the island, too, and while specific details and brands are yet to be confirmed, Emaar has said the promenade will feature a “wide range of leisure and lifestyle attractions” including “F&B outlets, beachside play areas”, and “retail pop-ups”.

Emaar also confirmed the development will be part of the enormous Meraas site, Dubai Harbour – a 20 million sq ft residential and retail site, which will feature the region’s largest marina with more than 1,100 berths, a yacht club, luxury hotels and a choice of retail, dining and entertainment attractions.

Emaar Beachfront looks like the early stages on road to creating the new Meraas destination, and we can’t wait to see it take shape. Homes are now available for early orders, so for more information head to www.emaar.com.

The break will last from Monday August 20 until Wednesday August 22
