In amongst Dubai’s many brilliant escape rooms, we’ve always thought that something was missing. Well, thankfully, our wishes have been granted, because an escape room-meets-mini golf experience has finally opened.

If you head to Tee and Putt at Wafi Mall, you’ll now be able to try the Locked Minigolf Challenge. “Can you escape to play?” the organisers ask, tauntingly. Well, this new locked mini golf game challenge will put your creativity, logic and problem solving skills to the test, while also seeing if you can nail that 18ft putt. Plus, it’s all glow-in-the-dark, and that is always, always a good thing in our books.

It costs Dhs50 per person to play an 18-hole challenge. In order to play each hole, you you’ll need to first unlock it – and to do that, you and your mates will need to put your heads together to solve a series of perplexing puzzles. And team work is imperative to making it happen, we’re told.

To find the solution, you’ll have to pay attention to hidden clues dotted around the room. Once you have done so, you’ll be given the opportunity to take a crack at the four-number code. If you get it right, you get to play the next hole.

It’s as simple as that, allegedly, so you’ll see us on the first tee, scratching our heads.

Dhs50 per person. Open Sat-Wed 10am-10pm, Thu-Fri 10am-midnight. Wafi Mall, Oud Metha (04 357 3290).
