Uber installs phones so you can call home on Mother’s Day

Calls can last as long as your trip – whether that’s ten or 30 minutes

Forget to call your mother? Don’t fret, because this Mother’s Day, Uber is letting customers call home for free.

The app is helping to connect mothers and their children around the world by installing phones in the back of its cars on Wednesday March 21.

Uber is even picking up the bill for your call – whether your ride (and call) lasts for ten minutes or half an hour.

Uber’s Nada Zagallai said: “This Mother’s Day, we took into consideration that so many of Dubai’s residents live away from their families so why not encourage riders to take a moment to call home during an Uber trip and express appreciation for their moms around the world?”

No matter where in the world your mother is, this is a great opportunity to remind her just how much she means to you.

If you want to give your mother something more, Dubai has plenty of treats to earn you some extra brownie points.
