If you’re feeling a bit peckish for some chocolate, then try this for size.
Fairmont Dubai has created the city’s largest ever Easter egg – and it’s absolutely enormous.
Measuring in at more than 2.5 metres tall, the creation weighs 200 kilograms and contains just over 436,000 calories.
It is made from 80 kilograms of 55 percent dark chocolate and located in the center of the hotel’s atrium.
The chocolate egg was crafted by executive pastry chef Romain Castet – taking four weeks to hand craft.
The luxurious Easter egg is on display at Fairmont Dubai from today until Sunday April 8.
Meanwhile, over at Fairmont The Palm you can get an early start on your Easter celebrations with a one-off “Egg-streme” brunch on Friday March 30.
You’ll get to enjoy food and drinks from the hotel’s top restaurants all in one day (including from Flow Kitchen, the newly launched Little Miss India and stations from Frevo and Seagrill).
In addition to some musical entertainment for adults, kids will get to experience a live petting zoo complete with bunnies, baby goats, parrots and more.
There’s also face-painting for the little ones, a magician performing tricks and an Easter egg hunt with lots of prizes.
Children aged 18 months to 16 years will get free access to Fairmont Falcons Kids’ Club during the brunch, keeping them entertained with plenty of indoor activities.
