Bored of twiddling your thumbs in the airport while waiting to board a flight?

Well now you can immerse yourself in a 3D cinematic experience at Dubai International Airport.

As well as featuring any number of restaurants, an in-terminal spa and loads of shopping options, Emirates is now providing Skylights theatre headsets to customers in DXB.

The innovative devices have a fixed screen with a wide-angle field of view for 2D and 3D screenings in high definition.

The mix of content will include everything from movies and box sets to documentaries and 360-degree videos.

Movies include Alien: Covenant; Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice; and Boss Baby, as well as episodes of documentaries such as Cosmos and Planet Earth.

The headsets will be complimentary and will be trialled in the Business Class lounge in Concourse B throughout April and in the First Class lounge in Concourse B in May.

If the experience goes down well then Emirates plans to roll out the headsets across all its lounges in Dubai.

If you’re looking for other ways to kill some time at DXB, you can indulge in a henna tattoo or unwind in the Be Relax airport spa with a signature massage or facial.

Whatever you do, don’t forget to pick up a copy of Time Out DXB to find out what is going on in the airport and beyond. Bon voyage!
Free. Apr 1-31 (Business Class, Concourse A), May 1-31 (First Class lounge Concourse B). Dubai International Airport, Garhoud (04 224 5555).
