We told you recently about the world’s tallest hotel opening its doors on Sheikh Zayed Road, and now you can take a dip in the hotel pool.

The Gevora Hotel is now offering pool access to the public and as part of the entry fee, you’ll also get complimentary access to the viewing deck on the 75th floor, which offers 90 degree views across the city.

The deck itself has panoramic views of the Dubai skyline and the majestic pool is 25 metres long with a 4 metre children’s section.

Entry to the pool on weekends costs Dhs200 per person and Dhs150 during the week.

The hotel, measuring a staggering 356m, consists of 75 floors, 528 guestrooms and three pools.

It is a mere one metre taller than the previous record holder, the JW Marriot Marquis Dubai and took the official title after being recognised by Guinness on February 9 this year.

The building was formerly a residential one before work started three years ago to construct the four-star hotel.

To put its huge stature in perspective, Gevora Hotel is more than three times taller than Big Ben, 56 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower, and around equal to the length of three football pitches.

The hotel opened its doors on February 12, promising the “best of Middle Eastern hospitality and exclusivity”.

The dry venue also features a health club and a gym with state-of-the-art facilities and a separate women’s-only area.

We can’t wait to for a doggy paddle with our heads in the clouds.
Dhs150 (Sun-Thu) Dhs200 (Fri-Sat). Open daily 7am-7pm. Sheikh Zayed Road (04 524 0000).
