Dry day announced next weekend

We could be given an extra day off work next week

Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has confirmed there will be a dry day across Dubai next week.

From 6pm on Friday April 13 until 7pm on Saturday April 14, bars and restaurants throughout Dubai and the UAE will only serve soft drinks.

We’re still waiting on the confirmation of the exact dates of the holiday (and a potential day off work) based on the phases of the moon, which will be watched closely over the coming days.

As the dry day lands on a Friday, we could be potentially looking at Thursday April 12 or Sunday April 15 off work, if a public holiday is given for Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raj.

You can find a full list of the UAE’s public holidays here.

We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we have some more information so watch this space.
