Run wild with the animals at Al Ain Zoo

UAE Wild Run will take place around the animal enclosures

1/3

Think you’ve got the speed of a cheetah, the grace of a gazelle or the tenacity of a lion? Well now it’s time to put your physical prowess to the test.

UAE Wild Run is happening this Saturday (April 14) – inside Al Ain Zoo.

Participants of the unique fun run will be able to weave their way around the animals in the safari area, before trotting past the flamingo lake and prowling around the winding paths of the World Desert area.

From there you’ll pass zebras, camels and giraffes (who will no doubt be cheering you on), before you come face to face with the kings of the jungle themselves.

After ducking past the lions, you’ll see some excitable chimps and go around the Big Cat Oasis before heading back to the main entrance. Phew!

The race starts at 7am on Saturday and there are distances of 2.5km, 5km and 10km, with tickets costing Dhs55 per person or Dhs100 including a post-run breakfast.

The race is open to people of all ages and abilities and is intended to give runners a unique and interactive experience with wildlife while promoting health and fitness among the local community.

We can’t wait to limber up and become one with nature.
Dhs55 (per person), Dhs100 (per person with breakfast). Sat Apr 14, 7am. Al Ain Zoo, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi (09 799 2000).
