Officials have revealed details of the public holiday for Al Isra Wal Miraj – and it's unlikely that most workers in the private sector will be getting the day off.
The public sector holiday will be on Saturday April 14, with work resuming on Sunday April 15.
Since that falls in the weekend, it looks like most private sector employees will not get a holiday.
Additionally, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has confirmed there will be a dry day across Dubai.
From 6pm on Friday April 13 until 7pm on Saturday April 14, bars and restaurants throughout the UAE will only serve soft drinks.
