Ain Dubai ferris wheel has a hidden feature for adventure seekers

Already the world’s largest ferris wheel, Ain Dubai has another hidden feature to get your adrenaline pumping.

One of the legs of the towering structure will be fitted with the highest rope-climbing platform in the world, much to the delight of all those adventure-seekers out there.

At a height of 150 metres, the structure will now be breaking two world records as soon as it opens later this year, with Ain Dubai standing at 210 metres.

Climbers will be assisted by experts to ensure their safety.

The US$2.17 billion (Dhs7.97 billion) Bluewaters Island Project developed by Meraas is in its final stages of completion, with the man-made island also featuring ten apartment buildings, along with gyms, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, basketball courts and children’s play areas.

The island will also have two hotels with direct access to a 450 metre private beach.

Visitors will soon be able to reach the island by road or by pedestrian bridge once the project is complete.

While we twiddle our thumbs in anticipation for its opening, check out these other climbing walls in Dubai.
