Comedian Al Murray is coming to Dubai Opera

Tickets for the gig are on sale now

If you're looking for laughs to get you through the year, then we've got some good news for you.

Al Murray is coming to Dubai Opera in November, and it's going to be an epic night.

He's known as “The Pub Landlord” and is one of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK.

But audience members are warned not to sit too close to the front unless they want to be involved, because Al loves to pick on the crowd.

Tickets for the gig on Tuesday November 20 go on sale today at 4pm, starting at a price of Dhs150, so you'll need to be quick.

There is an early bird offer of 20% on the top two seat categories where tickets start at Dhs156 until Tuesday June 12.

Fortunately, if you just can't wait for some comedy, there's another exciting night on Friday July 6 as four Arab comedians take to the stage for a side-splitting performance.

The line-up includes Welsh-Egyptian comic Omar Hamdi, along with renowned comedians Prince Abdi, Karim Duval and award-winning Lebanese-British comic Esther Manito.

The 'Arabs Are Not Funny' night, produced by Arts Canteen, is brought in from the UK for the first time ever. Tickets will be on sale from Monday 4 June and start from Dhs95.

Jasper Hope, Chief Executive at Dubai Opera, commented: “With Danny Bhoy and Spamalot we’ve already seen audiences loving hilarious comedy at Dubai Opera and here are two more great nights in prospect featuring a collection of the funniest Arab-British stand-ups next month and then the incomparable Al Murray in November."

Arabs Are Not Funny: Fri July 6. Tickets from Dhs95. Al Murray: Tue November 20. Tickets from Dhs150. Dubai Opera, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, (04 440 8888).
