Experience Aquaventure waterpark after dark

Imagine cooling off in the middle of the day by cruising down a lazy river at Atlantis The Palm.

Now, imagine that without the summer sun beating down on you. Not quite so dreamy.

Fear not, there’s good news. Aquaventure Waterpark has announced the return of Aquaventure After Dark, with the park staying open until midnight on Saturday June 16.

Late-night waterpark attendees can enjoy access to more than 20 thrilling slides and rides, two music zones to boogie down in and a host of special activities, including a range of competitions with some nifty prizes up for grabs.

Games include the return of The Leap of Faith’s Loudest Scream, where the loudest contestant stands the chance to win Dhs50,000 worth of rewards.

Various food stations will be set up too, including restaurants Shark Bites and Barracudas offering Arabic mezze, freshly baked pizzas and plenty more. All that screaming and sliding can work up an appetite.

Aquaventrue After Dark first launched back in April, when it reeled in more than 3,500 thrill-seekers.

The waterpark also boasts some record-breaking slides, including one of the world’s largest water rides, the Aquaconda, along with the globe’s first twin racing tube ride, Slitherine.

Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to book your spot right here.

Speaking of splashing offers, Dubai's RIVA Beach Club has launched a new deal, with day passes for Dhs105.

Dhs123 (pre-purchase), Dhs165 (gate tickets). Sat Jun 16 8pm-midnight. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah, www.atlantisthepalm.com (04 426 2000).
