Head to The Dubai Mall this weekend (Thursday June 14-Sunday June 17) and you'll find stories from Arabian folklore, virtual reality rides, a stunning art installation and a host of other fun family festivities in celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The huge shopping centre is being transformed into a hub of celebratory activities – and they are all completely free.
Playing a leading role is Sheibitna, a grandfatherly figure in Arabian folklore, who will be sharing stories and telling words of wisdom for the whole family to enjoy.
People will get the chance to hear his story-telling at the Souk Atrium, where a load of other activities will also be taking place.
There will be an arts and crafts section for kids to create special Eid greetings cards, along with lantern-making and henna art.
The mall will also be screening popular cartoons, including the famous animated series Freej and the popular antics of Tom and Jerry.
For the thrill-seekers, The Souk Dome is boasting VR family roller coaster rides where everyone can take part.
Alternatively, head over to the Grand Atrium for an interactive Eid art installation that showcases enthralling works from the public and live art by local talents.
The Dubai Mall will be hosting two charity events, too, where visitors can donate to Dubai Cares to help fund education in Egypt.
There will also be an original artwork piece by the globally renowned Robi Walters up for auction, with all proceeds going to Emirates Autism Society.
If you’re looking to celebrate Eid differently this year, The Dubai Mall is the place to visit.
