New art-inspired hotel... in Barsha

The city’s art scene has a brand new addition, thanks to the opening of the art-inspired Noon Hotel Apartments.

Al Barsha may not be the first place that springs to mind when it comes to all things related to art and culture, but that’s set to change as the area is now home to the city’s very first art-inspired boutique hotel and art gallery.

Coordinated by Khalid Al Mutawa, the project is the result of a collaboration between three artists, each with a true passion for supporting the local art scene. Emirati artist Dr. Najat Meky, Tunisian artist Khaled Ben Simane and Ali Hassan from Qatar teamed up to creatively contribute to Noon Hotel. Every apartment boasts its own style from a distinct idea belonging to one of the three contemporary painters, who are also skilled in sculpture and ceramics.

What’s more, the hotel also has its very own art gallery, which is open to the public and will showcase a range of art throughout the year.

Managing director Rasha Al Mutawa, says the hotel aims to support and nurture the existing artistic heritage of Dubai, by giving local artists a platform where they can display their work.

As well as individual artistic design and decor, each of the 45 apartment suites also boasts flatscreen TVs, modular-designed kitchens and stylish bedrooms. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s international restaurant and café, catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a first-class fitness suite, sauna and rooftop swimming pool.
