This school offers a range of courses to suit different needs and schedules – choose from an evening or full-time professional course, a basics course or personal classes for those who prefer one-on-one tuition. The next run of courses begin on Wednesday April 16. Though the school is currently moving to a new location, you can reach it via email or through its website.

Emirates Photography Club
A social group for photography enthusiasts across the UAE, members meet regularly to go on shoots and critique one another’s work. There’s a small list of rules you’ll need to read and abide by to take part in group activities, but new members are always welcome.
Gulf Photo Plus
One of the city’s leading photography centres, and host of the annual Gulf Photo Plus photography fair GPP (which took place earlier this month), has a huge range of resources available to budding and professional photographers. There are studio rentals, printing services, an online marketplace, online store and heaps of different courses on offer.

Take an introduction class to software such as Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop, a complete foundation in photography, studio lighting or shooting on location courses, night photography and so much more. There’s even a photo tour to Cambodia you can sign up for – taking place from April 30 to May 4, at Dhs4,960 per person.
