The Treachery of Sanctuary installation is composed of three white monolithic screens sitting above a black reflective pool. Visitors are invited to stand on the edge of the pool, where their shadow appears on the first screen before dissolving into a flock of fluttering birds. On the second panel, the birds appear again, this time pecking away at and consuming the image of the viewer. DIY Paper Cut Light Box
Stories are brought to life through intricate paper light boxes during this exhibition. Created by Hari and Deepti, the light boxes tell stories through the different shades and depth of the creations. The pair started experimenting with paper cut shadow boxes in 2010, using hand-painted watercolour effects. With years of experience, the art has become more intricate, while also maintaining a sense of minimalism at the same time. Now they have added to their own style by incorporating back-lit light boxes using flexible LED strip lights.
