Four new art exhibitions to visit in Dubai

Intersection by Wissam Shawkat

A one-night only exhibition, Intersection by Wissam Shawkat is taking place on Wednesday November 1 at Intersect by Lexus in DIFC.

Taking place between 6pm and 10pm, this exhibition is designed to open up opportunities for young collectors to get their hands on some outstanding calligraform pieces by this artist who has spent his career pushing the boundaries of convention in the art of calligraphy.

A series of limited edition prints will also be available for purchase

Back to the origins

A group of exhibitions focussing on sculpture, 3D art and pop-art from artists around the world is landing in Dubai between Tuesday November 14 and Monday November 27. The exhibition will feature works by seven artists ranging from the supremely intricate to the bold and stand-out.

Expect stunning glass works, photography sculptures and some incredible fine art silkscreen serigraphs with vibrant colours and dextrous laters.

Royal Photographic Society

‘Collective Visions’ is a group photographic exhibition that is currently set up in DIFC’s Central Park Towers until Saturday November 4. The exhibition is curated by the Dubai Chapter of The Royal Photographic Society, and will showcase a collection of images ranging from landscapes to architecture and more conventional portraits.

View more than 80 photographs from more than 30 award-winning artists, and is open from 10am until 8pm every day.

Emergeast is the first online art gallery for emerging Middle Eastern artists, and will be displaying its fourth auction highlights at Le Serre Boulangerie until Sunday November 5.

Art enthusiasts and visitors of the restaurant will get the chance to view, study and place a silent bid for the artworks of their interest, from pop art to calligraphy and abstract work, designed by up and coming artists of the region.

This is with a view to the fourth auction, which takes place on Monday November 6 at 7pm at Le Cirque at the Ritz-Carlton in DIFC.
