Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe are the latest big name stars to be confirmed for a performance at Dubai Opera.
The pair will co-headline a new festival of music at the Downtown venue, known as White Nights, running from March 30 to April 8 next year.
Welsh Mezzo Soprano Jenkins is one of the most famous contemporary voices in her genre, while Brit Boe is widely regarded as his nation's finest tenor.
The former has released a staggering 10 studio albums in the last 15 or so years, having first hit the headlines at the age of just 23.
Her status has seen her tour alongside the likes of Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli and Jose Carreras, while she is the go-to vocalist for significant public events in her homeland such as the Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee and her 90th Birthday at Windsor Castle.
Boe, meanwhile, has made massive inroads into the USA, winning awards for his theatrical performances on Broadway, namely a Tony in Baz Luhrmann’s 2002 revival of ‘La Boheme’. He has just finished a critically-acclaimed run in Les Miserables in London and New York.
Like Jenkins, the 41-year-old has managed to take his vocal talent into the mainstream, most notably performing alongside Pete Townsend, Billy Idol and Phil Daniels.
More names are expected to be announced in the coming days.
