Sole DXB full line-up announced

Dubai’s fashion-forward festival is strolling into town at the start of December, with the region’s first-ever sneaker and trainer-focussed weekend, Sole DXB, ready to land once again.

Originally founded in 2010, the event has become a global, three-day event spanning across more than just footwear, also including art, food, music, sports and style.

Having celebrated American hip-hop style and heritage in 2015, and moving on to British street styles last year, this year d3 will play host to Sole DXB’s return and shine the spotlight on the legacy and influence of contemporary Japanese design.

Confirmed for the music line-up this year are some mega acts to add to range of talks, conversations, displays, exclusive wares from massive brands including Nike, Puma, Reebok, Neighborhood, Visvim, Wacko Maria and more.

Top of the bill is UK grime and hip-hop star Kano, known for massive hit This is England, breakthrough track Ps & Qs, and 3 Wheel-ups. Kano is joined by rapper Pusha T, American silk-soul rapper Goldlink, German rapper Serious Klein and more, plus live DJs at the after-parties, including DJ Stretch Armstrong and DJ Shortkut.

Sole DXB has grown from a small Dubai community arts centre in 2010 to a rapidly-grown three day festival where more than 17,000 hip-hop and sneaker lovers converge in Dubai’s design capital, and this is one weekend in the calendar we just can’t wait to roll around. Tickets come in at Dhs125 on the door, or Dhs75 during presale.

From Dhs75. Dec 7-9. Dubai Design District, (04 433 3000).
