Ballet under the Stars returns to Desert Palm Dubai

Relax under the moonlight with a bit of al fresco dancing splendour

Desert Palm Dubai welcomes back the star-studded production of Covent Garden Dance Company’s Ballet under the Stars.

Led by Royal Ballet’s Mara Galeazzi and Royal Danish Ballet’s Principal Gregory Dean, the duo headlines an immensely talented cast, which will perform 12 exquisite short works including the Bedroom Pas De Deux from Manon.

The performance will be hosted on the resort’s expansive lawns on Thursday February 15 and Friday 16 for its second year in the city, featuring Principals and Soloists from some of the world’s greatest companies, including The Royal Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, The English National Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin and Ballet Bejart.

The 300-seat dinner theatre sits under a giant canopy on the lush hotel grounds and – just when we thought it couldn’t get any better – courses of a gourmet dinner will be served up between performances.

The dancing will be get underway over three 25-minute intervals between each course and every 25-minute section of performance compromises of four short works.

If our calculations are correct, that’s 75 minutes of phenomenal dancing punctuating three courses of unabashed scoffing.

All packages include bubbly reception, three- course dinner and half a bottle of grape per person.

We are positively pirouetting with excitement.
Dhs750 (gold seating), Dhs850 (platinum seating), Dhs1,000 (premium seating). Feb 15 & 16, from &pm. Desert Palm Dubai, Wasan 2, Hatta Road, by Dragon Mart,
